I am available for hire in the following ways:
Illustration & Comics Commissions
Look through my gallery page for examples of my work. I will be happy to discuss your illustration needs. Editorial work, comic strips, large scale comics projects (eg. graphic novels), and other types of illustration. I will consider most proposals, large or small.
Talks
I would be happy to come and talk to your manga group/ book club/ school/ art class about any aspect of making comics, graphic novels, and manga; my experiences of being an Artist in Residence; reading and understanding the comics medium, and its context.
Workshops
I have had experience running workshops in libraries, museums, and at community venues and comic conventions. I have worked with children from age 8 upwards, teenagers and young people, and adults. I can provide teaching, tuition or casual workshops for any age group, and I am fully CRB cleared. Workshops can range from 1 hour, up to a week, and I can provide a flexible range of activities. I can work to themes such as manga, graphic novels, character creation, drawing, digital media techniques and traditional media techniques. Workshops I have already run include: Drawing Manga, Creating a Manga Character, Making a Graphic Novel, Digital Character Design, Observational Drawing and Cartooning, and Creating Japanese Lanterns.
